You may be looking to purchase your first boat, if so you may want to give a pontoon boat as your first purchase a consideration. The main reason for this is that pontoon boats will offer a lot more space than other types of boats, and the price per square footage is cheaper also.

Pontoon boats are flat shaped, staying afloat by 2 long metal cylinders attached under the deck of the boat from aft to the stern. These are known as pontoons, and on a pontoon boat there can be 2 to 3 of them depending on the users preference.

If you want maneuverability and speed then you may want to invest some extra money into getting a boat that has three pontoons instead of the more common two. A pontoon boat with only two pontoons can achieve fast speeds but it will not maneuver as well as one that has three.

One of the nicknames that floats around for pontoon boats is the party boat. This is because there is so much room on these types of boats, you can have many people on them at once. Therefore a lot of owners will use them as a place to party on the water.

When it comes to customization the options are almost endless with a pontoon boat. You can have carpet, furniture, a bathroom, sun roof or bimini top, or anything else that you can think of on a pontoon boat. This is why they are rented more often in the United States than any other boat.

Many anglers also choose pontoon boats to turn into fishing vessels. You will have no problem storing all of your fishing gear, bait buckets and coolers on a pontoon boat. The extra space and flat deck make it easier to throw cast nets and toss out fishing lines.

Other benefits for the fishermen on a pontoon boat would be live wells, plenty of rod holders, over sized tackle boxes to keep all of your tackle in. You can also install spot lights for some inshore night fishing, and easily install a trolling motor for sneaking up on alert fish.

One bad thing about pontoon boats is that they are not designed to be taken offshore at all, meaning stay out of the ocean. There is only a foot or two of space from the water to the front of the bow, so waves can easily crash over the bow and flood the boat.

If you are the parent of a 9 year old girl, a 13 year old boy, and a 19 year old college bound, you know that their futures depend upon their skills to read and assimilate information, putting it into memory and into use. What are you going to do to help them accomplish that?

Doubing/tripling reading speed, teaching test-taking/memory/recall and many other success skills, live courses for all three kids could cost upwards from $500, some courses are $675 per person.

But, what we have found is that when the students WANT to learn, they can learn by themselves, from the right materials unassisted. If your children want more free time, less study time, and better grades all at once - we’ve found it — it’s a COMPLETE SPEED READING COURSE:

For pre-teens, try the Children’s course called - If You Can Read This, You Can Read Faster! For teens and adults we have - Speed Reading in Only One Hour! And for the college-university bound student - Be Dynamic Through Speed Reading. And the courses come with audio support for comprehension, reading speed, test taking skills and more. Plus a computer software program for reading faster online.

It’s another one of the amazing programs developed by Dr. Jay Polmar, the master of training the human mind for educational and motivational successes. He’s the founder of speedread.org and his complete speed reading programs can be found at www.speedreadcomplete.com

Setting goals gives you short-term and long-term motivation. Having well thought out goals helps you set focus on the acquisition of required knowledge and helps you to plan and organize your resources and your time so that you can get the best out of your life. The basics of goal setting will involve deciding what you really want to do with your personal life and what short term and long term goals you need to achieve it.

These are just a few points to keep in mind when you begin to set your goals:

1. Your attitude can be a maker or breaker of your goals. Do you automatically create self-imposed limitations on yourself? Are you able to take a step back and see that you do this? Are you a reactive or proactive type of person when faced with a challenge? Think about how you address problems in your life and see if changes need to be made now before you can begin to achieve your goals.

2. Another important skill you need is proper time management. If you truly want to reach any goal, then you have to use your time wisely. Time management is a attribute that you can develop with time and good habits. Once you learn how to use it to your advantage, you will be able to reach any goal you can envision.

3. Education is key in achieving your goals. If your goals require you to have a certain kind of degree or require a certain specialization or demand a certain skill to be developed, make plans in getting the appropriate education.

4. Let your family and friends know what your goals are. You need not tell everyone, but you will have to tell those closest to you how achieving your goals will effect them. Is it more time at the gym, the office, or the library? Tell them and ask them for their support. You will be amazed at how helpful this can be.

5. A plan is the last step in the basics of goal setting. This plan should at first be a 5 or 10 year plan and then broken down into smaller time frames. Break it down into years, then months, and then weeks. Use it as a guide and break down your goals into smaller goals. This will help keep you motivated as you move along to your biggest goal.

Taking action is now possible once you get through the above steps. You can now use your plan as your agenda for setting up to-do lists. You should have a daily and weekly list and consistently make sure you are moving toward your goal. If you get off track, then rearrange your steps as needed. If you make this into a habit you can honestly achieve any goal you can imagine!
