Bush and miniature types do not present much difficulty, but in order to accommodate a climbing rose that can easily make 10ft (3m) tall in open ground, you have more than difficulty. First, the container will have to be large in order to take the root run without undue restriction - I would suggest something of the order of 20-24 inches (50-60cm) deep and as wide. It will need to be well provided with drainage holes, and the growing medium will have to be capable of retaining moisture without holding it unduly and becoming a soggy mess. The compost mix suggested for the miniature tubs above would be suitable, except that I would reduce the nutrient content by using John Innes No. 1, because it will be necessary not to encourage this climber to grow too well. The quantity involved is not small, and without access to garden soil, there presumably is no alternative to buying it in, which will not be cheap. In addition, the 10ft (3 m) average height for this variety will be growing from soil already 2ft (0.6 m) above ground level, and you should therefore be prepared to see some stems reaching beyond `round the door’.

Apart from size and height, the important difference that affects cultivation is the necessarily shallow depth of the root system and the susceptibility therefore to drying out. With their suitability to pot and container growing, the risk is greater, and so is the need to be careful to see that it does not happen.

Roses do not like root disturbance, and while it may be possible during the dormant season to turn out and replant a miniature rose in a small container, you are hardly likely to be able to do this with a container of this size. The gradual build-up of nutrient and trace element deficiency therefore is a distinct possibility. This is a very big argument in favour of using an organic source like Humber and, because it is practical on a soil surface area of this dimension, maintaining a mulch cover.

Perhaps the most frequent cause of trouble with all pot and container grown plants is that it is not generally realized that, as soon as a root ball becomes dry, it thinks it has become a duck’s back, and water poured on from the top runs off in just the same way, down the sides and out through the drainage holes, leaving the soil and roots as dry as ever.

Grown in open ground, this problem is not so likely to occur, and if you follow the reasoning contained in the chapters dealing with feeding and mulching, there is no reason why you should not derive a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction from growing miniatures. One salient fact you should always bear in mind is that these little roses may be reduced in size, but the pests and diseases are not and, relative to the tiny tots, it is like having greenfly as big as bumble bees!

The need to protect with insecticides and fungicides is therefore all the greater. Otherwise treat them as conventional bushes.

They wind up winning a large jackpot at the slot machines, but there is a debate on who gets the money, so they try to settle it in court. The strange ruling is that they must stay together for six months, and see if they can settle their differences. With $3 million on the line, they each try to get the other to give up, as both desire to get the money for themselves.

TWENTY ONE: The basis for this film is the actual tale of young college kids who created a team of blackjack players that beat the casinos. These college kids planned, trained, and executed an assault on the casinos. To play in Las Vegas, where players can be banned for winning with card counting skills, they had to change casinos often, and disguise themselves, so the wouldn’t get caught. Twenty One is based on the book that tells how the M.I.T. teams took it to the casinos.

WANTED: A young, bored, office worker named Wesley discovers that his father, who he never really knew, is a contract killer. His father is killed, and now he is being recruited into the secret society of killers that his father was a part of. He is transformed from a nobody office worker into the professional killer that that he was destined to become. From there, things get complicated, and many twist and turns follow. Hang on to your seat.

10,000 B.C.: This film will take you back 1,000’s of years. When mysterious warlords from another tribe attack the Yaghai’s, they capture, among others, Evolet. A young hunter named D’Leh, who is in love with her, organizes a band of hunters to chase down these warmongers, and save her, and the rest of the captured tribe members.

THE DARK KNIGHT: In this film Batman, along with Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, are taking the major criminals off the streets. This has effectively reduced crime, until a new criminal mastermind shows up, and attacks the city. Batman has his work cut out him now, as the Joker is dispensing an overwhelming assault on Gotham City.

Jumper: While almost drowning, David Rice (Hayden Christensen) learns he has an unbelievable ability. He has the ability to actually teleport himself to any place he wants to go, at any time. Eventually, he discovers that he is not alone in having this capability. After years of “jumping” around the planet, he is exposed to hunters that think jumpers are a threat, and need to be eliminated. He must fight for his life, as these paladins try to track him down.

GET SMART: Maxwell Smart (agent 86) is at it again, “and loving it”. KAOS vs CONTROL, agents hidden in plants, and all the great one liners. This is a modern day version that looks back at the antics of Maxwell Smart.

ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: The bills are piling up and Zack and Miri, roomates and good friends, need to come up with some cash soon. What’s their solution? Easy, make a dirty movie. As you can imagine this is a perfect enviornment for a great comedy.

STEP BROTHERS: When two child like older men, who both live at home with one parent, find themselves having to live in the same bedroom because their mom and dad get married, you have one crazy situation. Put Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly acting as these two idiots, and the conditions are right for a very fun film. This comedy looks like a best bet for comedy lovers.

Most people buy or rent films when the come out on DVD, and views them on their home entertainment system. A new way people are aquiring movies is by downloading them directly off websites. There are websites that will download tons of different movies.

Phalaenopsis do not grow overly large, because leaves are shed from the base at about the same rate as new ones are developed. Their roots are exceptionally good-looking, often appearing above the pot and remaining airborne.

These are flattened and silvery white, with clearly visible, green-growing tips. They have a tendency to adhere to any surface with which they come into contact. In a greenhouse, they often attach themselves to the bench upon which they are growing.

Phragmipedium besseae, a plant with a flower of such brilliant red that it caused a sensation wherever it was seen. Its natural home was on the sheer rock faces of the inaccessible mountainous regions of Peru and Ecuador, and it was this precarious and impossible-to-reach habitat that kept the species under nature’s wraps for so long. Invisible from the ground, it was only discovered when spotted from a helicopter flying over the area on a plant-hunting expedition.

In addition to the long large flowered kinds, there are other hybrids raised from brown colored species which given rise to a further species of the alliance. Many delightful minature varieties are now available, with a range that extends from white.

Phalaenopsis can bloom at a time, and it is not unusual for them to bloom two or three times in away and to remain in bloom for mare - It is important, however, that they continues to make new leaves at time as flowering. If too many leaves shed, you should cut off any spikes and allow the plant to grow at until it has three or four leaves allowing it to produce flowers.

The plants are mostly extremely attractive, their broad, fleshy leaves often marbled with light and dark green mottling. They are monopodial in their growth, each new leaf extending from a centre, with the flower spikes coming from the base of the lower leaves.
